The Peco XC League have received a certificate from the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Thanks to all - We donated £1000 last year and have donated £3,300 in total.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

PecoXC v WYWL Relays 6th May - CONFIRMED

We have finally been given permission to hold the end-of-season Relays at Beckett Park, Headingley on
Sunday 6th May. There is a provisional route map and other details on the Peco Relays page.

The Junior relay will start at 10.00am, and the Senior relay at 11.00am
These relays are similiar to the Golden Acre Relay, and are for ALL, not just for the representatives teams...

Senior Relays:
League Representative Teams: Selected in age categories: M & F Open, M & F Vet 40+, M & F Vet 50+

Club Representative Team: Each club is encouraged to enter a single representative team comprising at least one female and at least one Vet 40+ (and no more than one male under the age of 40).

Other Teams: The following categories are available: M & F Open, M & F Vet 40+, M & F Vet 50+.
Ad Hoc teams are also welcome.

Juniors Relays :
Younger Juniors: There will be prizes for the first boys, girls and mixed teams comprised of 3 runners all of whom must be Year 6 or less (i.e. all at primary school)

Older Juniors: There will be prizes for the first boys, girls and mixed teams comprised of 3 runners at least one of whom must be Year 7 or less and another of whom must be Year 9 or less.  Note that one or two primary school children may take part in such a team.

Ad-hoc Teams: Teams not conforming to these rules (e.g. a team with two Year 10 or a team with three Year 8) are very welcome to take part.

CSPC runner’s full body MOT

The CSPC 90 minute runner’s full body MOT includes a full body assessment, analysis of running technique and a detailed report with the physiotherapist’s findings and prescription of a personal exercise plan including specific running retraining drills for you.

Having worked with runners for a number of years we have found the following common problem areas that the CSPC physiotherapist will assess and advise on:

  • Poor posture
  • Leg length discrepancies and pelvis mal-alignment
  • Muscle imbalances and relative muscle weaknesses
  • Limited range of movement and flexibility
  • Reduced functional stability and inefficient bracing patterns
  • Poor breathing technique and limited rib cage mobility
  • Inefficient walking and running gait patterns
  • Inappropriate running shoes
  • The need for an assessment for corrective orthotics/insoles
